What
if you can send peeps to your YouTube channel right from your Twitter profile, ?
Well,
you CAN, or you can give location/directions/direct phone number and more from the very top of your Twitter feed, showing up as a little box, just under your profile.
And thanks to my friend, Rich, and this question, I want to share more to let you know the latest options on the Twitter platform.
Did you notice the sexy “Watch Here” box along with the tweeted question screenshot above? Sweet, right?
But, better yet, you don’t have to have a paid account on Twitter to activate this feature; merely activate “professional mode” on your Twitter profile from your phone.
Next, you'll see where you can add a link to one of the
approved sites and create your Profile Spotlight.
Yep, it’s pretty straightforward. You can find more information about Twitter’s professional accounts here, because
there’s a limited number of link domains, like YouTube and Spotify, for example, to send people to your top content, or latest show.
Rich added a Spotify Profile Spotlight to his profile so people can easily find his
podcast!
Now if you’re a local business, you are going to flip, because you can have your location address, complete with map and direct link to phone call for the most direct and easy way to access you, EVER. Wow. This is so great for brick and mortar shops!
I put together a short video to help you set this up right now:
One special note you need to know on these new
feature boxes is that the links only work on mobile devices.
But Twitter is still working on this functionality and what all it might (eventually) do. I’m sure you already know that Twitter is in flux right
now. Still, take advantage of the latest features and use whatever works best for you and your business, no matter the channel or platform.
Did you know about this feature? Are you going to check it out? Let me know what you think.
