Are you still sparkling into mid-summer, ?
I sure hope you’re soaking in the sun and fun of summer doing your favorite things, but remember; it’s also the halfway mark in the business year. And while I want you to enjoy the season, family, fun, and friends, now is also the time to plan for a stunning year-end.
Downtime for you can mean a clear head and the perfect opportunity for some sound thinking and planning time for your upcoming digital deeds.
Last week, I got the ball rolling by reminding you of foundational tools to have in place for a solid digital business, including
1- reliable wifi/web connectivity for whatever device you are operating from (even if just a cellphone) and
2- a comfortable workspace to do your thing and
3- an email service provider (ESP) like my go-to fav, AWeber to directly interact with an engaged community
And now that the ball’s rolling, I hope this next link doesn’t make your head spin, but it’s time to be looking ahead and using even these first high-priority foundational assets.
It’s not too early to plan your holiday marketing, starting with— yep, you guessed it— leveraging that lovely, highly-interested email customer base you’ve been growing.
But of course, my handy dandy go-to AWeber and I have you covered
with ideas for using video for emails to get it done and make it easy, too! {affiliate links}
Services, Memberships, or Products
Next, from service-based to
e-commerce, tools you can use for digital sales are something to consider and maybe even jump ahead to think over, just as we talked about in the spaces/podcast with my tool-dropping guests.
For example. Rae-Rae mentions the idea of thinking of offering tiers for your service or membership packages to accommodate different needs and budget levels for potential customers. She also talks about tools that help her to create processes and ease up things that are harder for her.
It’s so important to select tools that you are comfortable using and can work with easily. Speed and continually moving forward are often the
key to eventual success, Rae-Rae reminds us.
Also, think about getting yourself registered as an LLC or another legal business formation that suits your needs. Other protective measures include using a Google phone number rather than a personal one and getting a P.O. Box for your business, as guest D_R Smart agrees.
But Wait
Don’t forget to think about your digital home, a place where you draw people to your business, and establish the crucial digital space where you set up pay gateways in order to transact sales. In most cases, this means your website— a core need (practically a business card to people) in today’s
marketplace.
It doesn’t matter whether you are selling products, services, digital downloads, courses,
or coaching for this key digital property to be optimized and properly in place! Are you with me?
In
addition to my WordPress website, I have an Amazon Storefront:
http://ileanesmith.live for peeps to visit and maybe even shop a
bit:)
But you can work with WooCommerce, Shopify, or the services that
best
fit you, your market, industry, and product line.
One last note before I let you get back to your cool summer foo foo umbrella drinks, ball games, or water fun, and that is these two words:
pay gateway.
Select, test, and integrate a payment processing platform with your digital home— website or
storefront, or both— so that you have all the systems and administrative steps in place and ready to go.
I know the content creation and marketing parts are more fun, but get your housekeeping in place and in tip-top shape, reevaluate where you are, and realign and plan for an uber successful second half of 2023!
But, relax and enjoy your summer fun, too, at least until next week’s email. Thanks beautiful people and take care.
Your friend,
Ms. Ileane
