Do you have access to Twitter's Media Studio?

Twitter describes the Media Studio as “an easy-to-use platform to manage, measure and monetize your media on Twitter.” I like the sound of that, what about you?

One note. First, you must be a verified user to get access to the Media Studio. However, this feature may be the tipping point if you still enjoy Twitter and want access to additional features and benefits for this 

“one-stop-shop tool,” as they call it. 

Btw - have you noticed I'm still calling it Twitter? 

I started a poll and it looks like many of you are still referring to it as Twitter too!

They say, great minds think alike! 

My favorite feature of the Media Studio is the Library feature! You'll find a history of your entire visual assets that you've shared on Twitter. 

You can also upload new assets like video, image, and gif files for future sharing, including the capability to modify metadata and content settings. And, of course, share (or schedule to share) your post, remembering to analyze data to evolve and improve as you go!

Video Enhancements to Help Creators

You can take a closer look at the deets for Video in Twitter, handled in the Creator Studio. Video analytics are also helpful, and you can expect to 

get the following analytical insights from each video:

• Total Views
• Organic Views
• Promoted Views
• Video Completion Rate
• Average Watch Time

(Twitter notes that videos shared multiple times will accumulate for an aggregated total for analytics on that video in your data.)

Notice how you can use the Video Activity Dashboard to hone in further on how your videos are doing by tracking things like retention rates, completion rates, total minutes viewed, and call-to-action clicks.*

Show Me The Money

Monetization on Twitter is something promised for creators, but for right now, the criteria are a little tough. 5 million impressions over 3 months are the requirements to qualify to make money on the network. It was previously at 15 million and has decreased by two-thirds. 

In addition you need 500 followers (not bad) and a Twitter Blue subscription account to qualify. Popular YouTuber Roberto Blake shared his earnings here and social media pundit Matt Navarra tweeted his earnings as well. Others are earning tens of thousands each month, but their content tends to be more controversial. 

I’m not sure this is hitting the creator economy as we want it to, but it’s very early on, so I’ll keep you posted on anything more I find out. 

I’d love to see Twitter reward creators willing to continue to stay and play on the platform!  But in the meantime, I’d love to see you stay, play, and find pay on the old Twitter right along with me. Are you in?
