Well, Amazon’s latest updates are very good news for the creator and shopping channel video community. This week, I’m giving you a few of the highlights to note, and did a video about the changes just for you!

Do’s and don’ts matter most to creators, so here’s the skinny! 

Many items in the updated User Agreement are the same and honestly, I feel like taking a nap every time I try to read through them -- but I love the concise explanations of the Dos and Don’ts page shares. 

The big one to note is found under the topic of Offline Linking. I clipped it for you below⬇️.

This is GREAT news for those of us busy building that precious email list and gaining the value of email marketing, and I think something we’ve been waiting for from Amazon, too. 

When we disclose that we earn commission on purchases, I can share a link to any product on Amazon like this Wireless Charger, (not just my storefront) here now! Woot woot!! 🎉

Still, keep in mind the things you DO NOT want to do, especially the “in-person” use of your affiliate links like printed material.

With group chat shares and direct messaging with permission, creators can now spread their affiliate links to an interested segment. Boy oh boy is that going to be useful for you and your group members!

Amazon Live CLIPS Are Here!

I'm also super excited to share another cool update in the Amazon Live App that's called Clips!

We can easily create Clips from our past Amazon Live streams, and best of all, they have already been pre-selected. 

It's like Opus Clips and Amazon Live had a baby!  

This is a fantastic timesaver and I love how you can just share the clip from the App on social media if you want to give people a sample of what they missed.

Super Clip Tips

As a strategy note, these clips make perfect teaser videos to entice people to come back to your original longer-form video to explore further. Whether you use them on your Pinterest boards, as Facebook stories or reels, or wherever, think of them as creating an invitation to find out more from you. 

Play around with creative ways to leave your audience dying to click by crafting hooks, curiousity, or quick audio cuts, leaving them wanting more. You can also download clips for further production in your favorite editing tool like CapCut, Canva, or others. I even made an uber shorty into a .GIF for social media.

Amazon is fully aware of the competition and choices we have as Influencers. There is TikTok shop, YouTube Shopping Affiliate Program and more. They are clearly focused on being top of mind with us and with shoppers.
