For a more in-depth look, long-form videos are extremely beneficial. Here are some
key points for producing and publishing long-form videos:
- Depth and Detail: Long-form videos allow creators to dive into topics thoroughly for comprehensive information and analysis. Viewers gain a deeper understanding of complex subjects or follow detailed step-by-step guides.
- Storytelling: Long-form content is ideal for storytelling. Creators develop characters, build narratives, and transport viewers into immersive experiences weaving tales to delight their audiences. Documentaries, vlogs, and personal stories use this memorable format. It’s even seen in ads or sales copy.
- Engagement and Interaction: While long-form videos may require a higher level of commitment from viewers, they also provide more opportunities for engagement. Creators can incorporate interactive elements such as polls, quizzes, and annotations to keep viewers’ attention and foster a sense of community. (HINT: Livestreaming video takes interactivity even higher!)
- Monetization: Long-form content can be more lucrative for creators to monetize. Longer videos offer more ad inventory, plus creators may also benefit from features like YouTube Super Chats or Super Thanks. Also your top fans can show you support via paid channel memberships or by buying y our merch. Woot Woot! 🎉
Mix It Up
A combination of both long and short-form videos is my suggestion for your YouTube Channel library. But no matter what you create, videos that take an audience-first approach, and deliver high-quality information and value to serve people are the ones that always seem to resonate most. At least for
me:)
Video marketing is more effective than ever with about 2.7 billion active users on YouTube. Also a search engine, YouTube feeds video content to answer user intent or by keywords.
Answering questions that apply to your business, industry, product, or service is a fantastic way to connect with a targeted market. Video content serves a ton of purposes for connecting with your audiences and driving business.
Let me know what video formats you’re currently using most, and why. I’d love to
know!
Stay beautiful,
