4- How do you know where people are stuck? This is immensely important in selecting what content to create and what to focus on. (Refer to #3, you usually don’t have to start at square one!)
5- The speed of change on these social platforms and with apps and software, is so fast it makes your head spin. And, what this means for you is an unending hamster wheel to chase for the latest on these things continually, but most of your tutorials are obsolete within a short period. Often in 6 months or less. Not to mention how some platforms (Facebook is famous for
this one) roll out versions and features incrementally and differently in different regions to make matters worse.
Now remember, I only want to save you some energy, and effort, and help prevent burnout I don’t want you to experience. These subjects and tutorials, you see, can’t be evergreen so, please note that for yourself. I sure hope it
helps. I think it may save you some time and stress.
And one final thing to think about. For me, I’m not doing too many (or any) videos on Facebook and how to use it in any way any longer. It’s impossible (listen to the podcast for all the reasons why) to stay on top of things with Facebook so I’m not putting time and effort there now.
This my dear is an
example of how not only Facebook, but any platform, may change or go away, hurting your views or making your videos useless. Create evergreen content that fits the platform or platforms that make the most sense to you and your audience. Mix video types and simply connect with people, genuinely. And I promise you will make a better impact.
I know you have a beautiful message inside of YOU and I want to encourage you to get it out to the world.
Your de-stressor for today,
Ms.
