Have you ever taken a step back and looked at your blog as if you were seeing it for the very first time? When you do, you'll find some positives and unfortunately, you'll find some negative things that you'll want to improve on. Here's a short list of what you can look for:
- Does your site have an eye appealing design that's easy to navigate and fonts that are easy to read?
- Do visitors get a strong indication of what your site is about?

Do you have fresh content that is well written, free of glaring typos, and packed with content that adds value for your readers?
- Do you have too many flashing ads and distractions on your side bars?
- Does each post have internal links to other posts on your blog?
- Don't forget to have a clearly visible Call to Action!
Of course that's not a complete list, but it's a good start!
The other day I had someone tell me that she was embarrassed by her blog and that's why she hasn't been promoting it. Ironically when I took a look, it turns out her blog had a lot of really positive things going for it. I've seen worse, believe me!

A sure fire way to know if your blog is on the right track, is to find out if other bloggers are linking to your content. I mean, it's one thing for someone to share a post on Twitter or Facebook, but if they link back to your blog than you know that they think your content is awesome right? There are a lot of tools you can use to do find out who is linking to you (some of them cost a small fortune), but in this post I show you some quick and easy ways to get the job done.
